BUILDERS, REMODELERS & TRADE CONTRACTORS!MIOSHA FALL PROTECTION TRAININGMIOSHA, in partnership with the Michigan Association of Home Builders (MAHB) and Lenawee County Association of Home Builders, are launching a "Residential Fall Protection Initiative" to help employers protect their workers and comply with the new requirements. The changes took effect June 16, 2011. MIOSHA will adopt specific guidelines for an additional six (6) months, from June 16, 2011 through December 16, 2011, for alleging violations for residential fall protection. The full policy is on page 2 of the registration form. This educational opportunity will highlight the key changes required of employees working six feet or more above a lower level. It will cover requirements for written, site-specific hazard relief plans and discuss employer basic compliance information. This informative training program will help all builder and associated employers protect their workers and comply with the new requirements. All employers in the trade are required to provide the appropriate protection and training to employees exposed to fall hazards on the job after June 16, 2011. The Lenawee County Association of Home Builders is sponsoring this training at:LISD Tech Center – Classroom 2 Thursday, June 30, 2011 SIGN UP NOW — PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED HBA Member: $25.00 per person Download a Fall Protection Training Form here. |
